IHIA NEWSLETTER December 2021

President’s Message A MESSAGE FROM Lieutenant Paul Belli (Retired) Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office Dear Colleagues, Members and Sponsors, It is hard to believe that it has been over 3 months since we were all together at the yearly symposium in Washington DC. The networking, training, socializing, mentoring, and sharing of ideas at the symposium made me realize how much I missed that opportunity in 2020. As we moved through the week it was never more apparent to me how dedicated the Membership and Board are to training and their communities. This past and present year continues to provide you all with immeasurable challenges in your service. You have the admiration of the association board, our corporate sponsors, your communities, and your families. Thank you for all that you do. The association has been busy working with our federal partners in developing training to assist you in the pursuit of justice. This started with an update to the Basic Homicide Investigations course, development of the Advanced Homicide/ Violent Crime Investigation’s course, Cold Case and No Body Homicide Prosecution course, and our newest Mass Casualty Incidents course. Our goal is to provide the highest quality instruction at the absolute lowest cost. If your agency and region have a training need, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your Regional Director, so they can assist you. You can find course information at www.ihia.org.
